Homemade Products

The way I started my homemade products is simple. I started reading ingredients, doing research and realized how many chemicals and “other stuff” was in my beauty, health and cleaning products. I started making homemade products for my family to use and loved them. I then started sharing them with family and friends who loved them just as much and thus my homemade product line was born! The products I make for my family and friends are now available to you! Check out my growing line of homemade products!

I have been selling my homemade products at local farmers markets for the past few years. It is a blast to share what I make with people and love making a little money while providing families with a healthy options for their household. Here is a list of what I make:

Handmade 100% Wool Dryer Balls

dryer balls
These reusable dryer balls are handmade with 100% wool yarn. They are double felted to insure longevity. Instead of using chemical filled dryer sheets that you have to keep buying, use wool dryer balls. They are free of chemicals, reduces static, and can cut your drying time up to 30%. Just throw them into your dryer (just like a dryer sheet) with your wet clothes and let them do their work. You can leave them in your dryer between uses as they will last you several years!

Homemade Bug Spray

Bug spray
I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I hated having the only option to keep bugs off my family was a harmful, chemically filled spray. So I set out on a mission to make my own. My homemade bug spray is made from a mix of essential oils, witch hazel, and distilled water. This is a product I have spent some time tweaking to make it the most effective and have been using on myself and my kids for quite some time.

Chest Rub

Chest Rub

Again, this came from not wanting to use other types of chest rub on my kiddos because of the petroleum base that many had in them. I played in the kitchen with the recipe, sent out lots of samples and finally got a wonderful mix of peppermint, lavender, cardamom and frankincense. This stuff is wonderful for congestion/sinus support. It works best rubbed on the chest or on the bottom of the feet.

Essential Oil Blends

Allergy Support Blend

These are specially blended essential oils with a fractionated coconut oil in 10 ml roller bottles. These are great for those who are fairly new to oils or are unsure of how to blend oils and use carrier oils. These are designed to be able to be put straight on the skin without any preparation or extra step. The oil blends available right now are a Sleep Blend and an Allergy Support.

After Sun Lotion

As much as we try to avoid a sunburn, it happens. It’s Texas, its HOT and my family is pretty pale! I loved Aloe Vera, but I always felt sticky and smelled funny after using the gel. This is suck a simple mix that people can do themselves (find out how to DIY this on my DIY After Sun Cream Post) but I also make this lotion to sell. It has a mix of Aloe, coconut and almond oils, and soothing essential oils. It is wonderfully soothing to a sun-kissed, or crisped skin!

If you haven’t noticed, there is a trend of two things: I didn’t like my options, and essential oils. I don’t use essential oils in EVERYTHING, but I really do love them as an all natural option. If you want to find out more about essential oils check out my Essential Oils tab on my website!

My goal is to make products that are made of all natural ingredients and safe for the whole family! I hope you love my products as much as I do!
